Mattress Side Zippers

The gap between the slats should be no wider than 2" / 5cm to ensure that the mattress is properly supported and doesn't sag in the middle.

Product Care

Once a year, air out the mattress in the sun for day to refresh the wool.

Handling Wet Incidents:

  • Wool Filling; If the wool filling gets wet, remove it and gently hand wash it in lukewarm water. Let it air dry thoroughly in the sun before placing it back inside the mattress.
  • Cover: While the filling is drying, spot clean the wet cover.

Our mattress arrived right on schedule, with a shipping time of about a month and then just 5 days to reach me in Virginia. I've always favored increadibly soft beds, almost to the point of sinking into them like foam. Unfortunately, this preferene led to back and neck issues at just 27 years old. After extensive research, I decided a shiki buton was the right choice for me. It took a few weeks to adjust, but I can honestly say I nevr knew what it felt liketo be truly rested until I slept on this mattress. Gone are the days of waking up with brain fog, pain or grumpiness.I feel like Im actually transforming into a morning person. This bed has truly changed my life.
