- 3" Futon - Firm and minimalist. Ideal for occasional use, floor setups, or lighter individuals who prefer a sturdier surface.
- 4" Futon - A great balance between comfort and flexibility. Suitable for regular use as a bed or sofa, offering moderate support.
- 5" Futon - The most cushioning in our futon line. Great for everyday sleep or for side sleepers and those who want a softer, more mattress-like feel.
Please note: mattresses may arrive slightly thicker than listed. This is normal — the wool compresses gently with use and settles to its expected thickness within a few weeks.

WHAT CERTIFICATIONS DOES YOUR WOOL FUTON MATTRESS HAVE?

Our wool mattress is made with zero chemical emissions — no flame retardants, no VOCs, and no off-gassing, period. It’s been independently verified with the GREENGUARD Gold certification, which tests for even the lowest levels of chemical emissions and indoor pollutants.

We also use certified natural materials throughout the mattress:

GOTS-certified wool (Global Organic Textile Standard), meeting the highest standards for organic farming and processing.
GOTS-certified organic cotton, Oeko-Tex® certified linen, and Oeko-Tex® certified virgin wool fabric — all safe, breathable, and chemical-free.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GOTS AND OEKO-TEX®?

GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) is the leading certification for organic textiles, ensuring that materials are organically grown, processed without harmful chemicals, and meet strict environmental and social criteria throughout the entire supply chain.

OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, on the other hand, certifies that a material has been tested for harmful substances and is safe for direct contact with skin, even if it’s not organic. It focuses more on the end-product safety rather than the farming or processing methods.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO MAKE AND SHIP A MATTRESS?

Each mattress is handcrafted to order and takes approximately 7–10 business days to make. Standard free delivery typically takes an additional 1–3 weeks, depending on your location. If you need it sooner, we also offer an express delivery option at checkout for an additional cost.

HOW DO I CANCEL MY ORDER?

If you need to cancel your order, please email us at contact@woollux.com with your order number as soon as possible. Since each mattress is made to order, cancellations are only possible before production begins.

WHAT MAKES A WOOL FUTON MATTRESS DIFFERENT FROM A REGULAR FUTON?

Unlike synthetic or cotton-filled futons, wool provides superior insulation, breathability, and natural bounce. It resists flattening and remains supportive over time with proper care.

CAN I USE IT EVERY DAY AS MY PRIMARY BED?

Absolutely. Many of our customers use the wool futon mattress daily. It offers firm, supportive sleep with a cozy feel — ideal for those who prefer natural materials.

DO I NEED A SPECIAL FRAME?

No. Our futon works well on slatted frames, tatami mats, platform beds, or directly on the floor.

I’m so happy with this wool futon mattress. It’s super comfortable to sleep on at night, but what I love most is how great it feels when it’s folded up as a sofa during the day. It feels solid and well made - thank you!

After a few weeks on my wool futon mattress, I can honestly say it’s one of the best purchases I’ve made for my home. The first thing I noticed was the weight and sturdiness — it’s not flimsy like the synthetic futons I’ve had before. You can really feel the solid, handmade quality every time you sit or lie down.

What surprised me most is how well it regulates temperature. Normally I overheat on foam mattresses, but with this one I stay perfectly comfortable through the night. It also bounces back into shape quickly, so it still looks neat and tidy even after being folded and unfolded every day.

It feels more like a “real mattress” than a futon, but with all the flexibility I need for my space. I wasn’t expecting it to make such a difference in my sleep, and now I’m seriously considering purchasing a full wool mattress as well.
