The mattress is hand-tufted to prevent it from losing its shape. This ensures that it will stay comfortable and supportive for years to come.
There are zippers on all four sides of the mattress. This allows you to adjust the firmness to suit your needs. You can add or remove filling as desired to create a custom sleeping experience.
The gap between the slats should be no wider than 2" / 5cm to ensure that the mattress is properly supported and doesn't sag in the middle.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Does the mattress provide comfort in every season?
Certainly, this mattress is an excellent option for year-round comfort. Its natural wool insulation helps keep you warm during winter and cool in the summer, making it suitable for all seasons.
Is this mattress appropriate for individuals who are allergic to wool or lanolin?
This mattress is safe for use as the wool and lanolin are securely enclosed within the ticking fabric, made of either organic cotton or linen. This design ensures there is no direct skin contact, significantly reducing the likelihood of allergic reactions. Moreover, our wool is certified by both GOTS and OEKO-TEX, ensuring it is free from harmful toxins or synthetic materials that could cause chemical allergies.
Can you explain the differences in sensation between the 3" (8 cm), 5" (13 cm), and 7" (18 cm) mattress thicknesses? Also, how can I determine which thickness is most suitable for my needs?
The 3-inch mattresses are notably firm, whereas the 5-inch and 7-inch variants offer a mid-firm level of support. Selecting the ideal mattress thickness hinges on your usual sleeping position, body weight, and the type of bed base you have. Side sleepers might find the thicker 7-inch mattress more supportive for their hips and shoulders. For those who sleep on their back or stomach, a 5-inch mattress might provide a more balanced level of support. Individuals with a heavier build could benefit from a thicker mattress for enhanced support, whereas those who are lighter might prefer the comfort of a thinner mattress. Additionally, thicker mattresses are generally more compatible with platform or slatted bed frames, while thinner mattresses can adapt to a variety of bed setups.
Which fabric offers the highest durability?
All our fabrics are exceptionally durable, with wool being the most resilient. Wool fibers naturally spring back, allowing them to withstand repeated usage and bending. This quality makes wool a popular choice for high-quality upholstery and bedding, as it retains its shape and resists pilling. Linen ranks just behind wool in durability. Its thick and robust fibers make it less likely to wear out, and it becomes softer and more comfortable with frequent use. Cotton, being softer and finer than both linen and wool, might be more prone to wear and tear. However, the longevity of cotton varies based on the fabric's weave and quality. Our 100% organic cotton is both certified and durable, offering supreme comfort. When cared for properly, it can endure for many years.
Is it possible to use this mattress on an adjustable bed frame?
Wool mattresses, due to their flexibility and adaptability, are ideally compatible with adjustable bed frames. Their inherent elasticity allows them to easily adjust to the adjustable base's contours and movements. This ensures that the mattress remains comfortable and supportive, regardless of how the bed's position is altered.
If the spacing between my slats exceeds 2", could this present an issue?
Indeed, having slats spaced more than 2" apart might lead to complications. When slats are spaced too far apart, the mattress is at risk of sagging between them, which can result in an uneven and uncomfortable sleep surface. For optimal support and to maintain the mattress's shape, it's advisable to use slats that are no wider than 2 inches apart.
Is it likely that I would be able to sense the base underneath through the mattress?
No, if the slats are spaced no more than 2 inches apart, you should not feel the base through the mattress. Slats spaced correctly offer sufficient support for the mattress, guaranteeing a comfortable sleep surface.
Given that I reside in a highly humid region, would a wool mattress be appropriate for my situation?
In humid climates, a wool mattress is often a great option. Wool's inherent breathability helps it wick away moisture while also being resistant to mildew and mold. To enhance air flow and minimize moisture build-up, you might want to consider taking off the sheets during the day, allowing the mattress to get some sunlight exposure, and using a dehumidifier in the room.
What mattress thickness do you suggest for someone who sleeps on their stomach, back, or side?
For stomach sleepers, a mattress with a firm to mid-firm feel, ranging between 3 to 5 inches thick, is often ideal. This thickness helps maintain spinal alignment and prevents too much sinking in the stomach area.
Back sleepers generally find a mid-firm mattress with a thickness of around 5 inches to be comfortable. This provides sufficient support for proper spinal alignment and enough cushioning for overall comfort.
Side sleepers typically prefer a slightly softer mattress, around 7 inches thick. A thicker mattress in this case allows for better pressure relief on common pressure points like the hips and shoulders, which is crucial for this sleeping position.
