FAQ
WHAT CERTIFICATIONS DOES YOUR WOOL FUTON MATTRESS HAVE?
No flame retardants. No added VOC treatments. No off-gassing coatings.
We use certified natural materials throughout the mattress:
- Wool filling: OEKO-TEX Certified (tested for harmful substances)
- Cover options: GOTS-certified organic cotton, OEKO-TEX certified linen, or OEKO-TEX certified virgin wool fabric
These certifications help ensure your mattress is made with carefully sourced materials that are safe, breathable, and a great choice for babies, kids, and anyone sensitive to chemicals.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GOTS AND OEKO-TEX®?
GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) is the leading certification for organic textiles, ensuring that materials are organically grown, processed without harmful chemicals, and meet strict environmental and social criteria throughout the entire supply chain.
OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, on the other hand, certifies that a material has been tested for harmful substances and is safe for direct contact with skin, even if it’s not organic. It focuses more on the end-product safety rather than the farming or processing methods.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO MAKE AND SHIP A MATTRESS?
Each mattress is handcrafted to order and takes 7–10 business days to make. Free delivery ships via FedEx Economy and arrives in 7–10 business days. If you need it sooner, FedEx Express is available at checkout for an additional cost and delivers in 3–5 days.
HOW DO I CANCEL MY ORDER?
If you need to cancel your order, please email us at contact@woollux.com with your order number as soon as possible. Since each mattress is made to order, cancellations are only possible before production begins.
WHAT MAKES A WOOL FUTON MATTRESS DIFFERENT FROM A REGULAR FUTON?
Unlike synthetic or cotton-filled futons, wool provides superior insulation, breathability, and natural bounce. It resists flattening and remains supportive over time with proper care.
CAN I USE IT EVERY DAY AS MY PRIMARY BED?
Absolutely. Many of our customers use the wool futon mattress daily. It offers firm, supportive sleep with a cozy feel — ideal for those who prefer natural materials.
DO I NEED A SPECIAL FRAME?
No. Our futon works well on slatted frames, tatami mats, platform beds, or directly on the floor.
ARE CUSTOMS FEES OR TAXES INCLUDED?
Yes — all shipments are sent DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), meaning you won’t pay any customs fees or import taxes upon delivery. We handle everything.
I’m so happy with this wool futon mattress. It’s super comfortable to sleep on at night, but what I love most is how great it feels when it’s folded up as a sofa during the day. It feels solid and well made - thank you!
After a few weeks on my wool futon mattress, I can honestly say it’s one of the best purchases I’ve made for my home. The first thing I noticed was the weight and sturdiness — it’s not flimsy like the synthetic futons I’ve had before. You can really feel the solid, handmade quality every time you sit or lie down.
What surprised me most is how well it regulates temperature. Normally I overheat on foam mattresses, but with this one I stay perfectly comfortable through the night. It also bounces back into shape quickly, so it still looks neat and tidy even after being folded and unfolded every day.
It feels more like a “real mattress” than a futon, but with all the flexibility I need for my space. I wasn’t expecting it to make such a difference in my sleep, and now I’m seriously considering purchasing a full wool mattress as well.
Absolutely delighted with my new wool futon mattress! The craftsmanship is second to none – you can really tell it’s been handmade with care. It feels supportive yet wonderfully comfortable, and I love knowing it’s made from all-natural materials. No chemical smell, just a clean and fresh feel from the start. It keeps me cosy at night without overheating, which has completely transformed my sleep. Honestly, it feels like sleeping in a luxury retreat every night. Couldn’t recommend it enough!
I bought the wool futon mattress to use in my studio apartment as a couch by day and bed by night. It folds easily and doesn’t lose shape like foam does. Supportive, breathable, and easy to move—this is hands-down the most functional piece of furniture I own.
I was searching for a non-toxic futon and found Woollux. This mattress is the perfect balance of firm and cozy. I love knowing it's made from natural wool with no synthetics or chemicals. My back feels great in the mornings!
